TNB Research has set up a unit to help TNB conduct Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Studies. Generally the EIA studies consist of three processes

Generally the EIA studies consist of three processes :

• • The screening of the major impact of the project on the environment
• • The preliminary EIA
• • The detailed EIA

Our group normally does the screening of the major impact and helps determine the scope of the project. In addition, our group also conducts some portions of the preliminary and the detailed EIA based on the expertise they have. The other portions shall be sub- contracted out to suitable collaborators.
